Hi, my name is Mark. I’m an educated, successful professional that has transitioned to a teaching career. I’m passionate about sharing my life experiences with people of all ages, whether it’s inside or outside of the classroom.
I have been involved with both running and the game of tennis for my entire life. I started taking lessons at 5 years old, played in regional tournaments (all the way through high school) and competed on the collegiate level at UMass Amherst. During my high school years, I taught and oversaw a tennis program for 5 years instructing people from age 5 – 75. My laid back approach, enthusiasm and passion for the game enables me to instruct all age groups, and all stages of development. Whether you’re a 55 year old beginner or a 16 year old phenom, I have the tools, patience and approach to make you a better player.
Inside the classroom, I am proficient in English, Reading, Writing, Arithmetic, Basic Mathematics, Vocabulary and Grammar. I achieved a Bachelor of Arts in Classics, and took 8 years of Latin and 2 years of Greek. My vernacular is extensive, and my ability to communicate allows me to teach all age groups.
Finally, as a singer/songwriter/performer, I can also shed light on singing techniques, songwriting skills, and other ways to express yourself.
I have so much to give to students who are ready and willing to learn. I have lived in both big cities (New York City, Boston, San Diego) and small towns. My life experiences, coupled with the knowledge that I have in given subject areas, can really make a difference in peoples’ lives. I am hoping to make a difference in yours very soon!
Thanks for reading, and feel free to contact me at your earliest convenience!
